Island Rec Center announced a discounted presale window for a Snow Day event at Shelter Cove Park scheduled for Jan. 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the county bulletin said.

The family event will include inflatable rides, a snow field and entertainment intended for children who have never seen snow. Presale admission is $8 per child ages 2 through 17 and $6 for each additional child; admission at the door is $10 for ages 2 through 17, and everyone else is free, the bulletin said.
