The St. Mary's County Alcohol Beverage Board voted unanimously Jan. 8 to grant a 90-day extension to Angelica's Kitchen so the applicant can finish outstanding site work before the license is completed.
Applicant Angela Funa told the board the patio was installed the day before the hearing and that "we are waiting for some fence posts to come in," adding she expects to complete the remaining work before March. Chair David Willenborg moved to grant the extension and the board voted in favor.
The extension maintains the board's conditional approval while the applicant completes the physical improvements required for a final license. No fines or suspensions were discussed in connection with the extension, and Funa said she would contact board staff as she secures the remaining materials.
The board advised Funa to follow up with the administrator's office on required paperwork and possible renewal steps once construction is complete. The next scheduled board meeting will be the next opportunity for any further status updates.
