Munster board elects new officers, appoints treasurer and purchasing agent for 2026

The School Town of Munster Board of School Trustees on a voice vote approved its leadership slate for 2026 and ratified several administrative appointments. Dr. Ingrid Schwartz Wolf was elected board president after nominations were opened for the January–December 2026 term. Amy Cinder was elected vice president and Kristen Smith was approved as secretary, each by voice vote with no recorded opposition.

The board also accepted administration recommendations to appoint Jessica Espinosa as corporate treasurer and as corporate purchasing agent. Those appointments were moved, seconded and approved during the reorganization portion of the meeting.

Chair announcements followed: the chair named several liaison and representative assignments for the year, including the chair serving as legislative liaison to the Indiana School Boards Association, John Castro as policy liaison, Kyle Dempsey as the district representative to the Munster Education Foundation and the PTO president's committee, and Amy Cinder to the strategic planning committee.
