Mister Marlin said the revised design included additional reinforcement and concrete and that the resulting change order of $69,500 "still puts us well on the budget." He explained that time under contract was paused while permits were processed and that if the change order is approved the contractor will order materials and begin work, with 150 calendar days to complete the project.
Council members asked about the project timeline and any design implications. Staff said they expected the contractor to start within about two weeks after approval and ordering of materials. The change order was introduced as Resolution No. 871826 in the work session; no formal vote was recorded there.
