The Zoning Board of Appeals granted a 6-foot side-yard variance at 955 West River Parkway on Jan. 8, 2026, contingent on final approval of a drainage plan by the town engineer.
Applicant Ed Mellis presented a drainage plan showing gutters, downspouts and an underground discharge system; town staff said the plan had not yet been reviewed by the engineer and recommended that final approval be contingent on that review. Board discussion noted the shed’s size and that the applicant had taken steps to address drainage concerns; Tim Phillips moved to approve the variance with the town-engineer’s approval as a condition. The motion passed by voice vote and the board recorded that approval would be contingent on final engineering sign-off and standard building inspections.
