During the citizens’ comments portion of the committee meeting, Deb Spence, a Pottstown resident and founder of levelflat.org, asked council to consider adopting her platform to better coordinate local services and economic activity.
Spence described levelflat.org as a four‑pillar tool: unified communications (one calendar and a power matrix), small‑business equity to highlight businesses across wards, a health‑housing link that would connect substandard housing with medical and educational needs, and tools to strengthen L&I enforcement for problem landlords. She said levelflat.org could scale across the borough, leverage a Montco 2040 implementation grant for implementation, and require no additional burden on the borough’s general fund.
Spence requested a 20‑minute meeting with the mayor, the borough manager and the council president to demonstrate the platform and discuss next steps. She also asked for clarification and an agenda from the Human Relations Commission about how it plans to address housing, education and health disparities.
Council thanked Spence for her presentation; staff told her they would follow up.
