At the end of the Jan. 12 meeting, the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District board voted to convene in closed session under state statute 19.851(c) to consider personal histories or disciplinary matters of specific persons and to conduct the annual performance evaluation of the superintendent.

Board President Bob Hesselbein read the statutory basis and called for a motion; the motion and second were made and a roll call vote was taken. The board then convened in closed session. The agenda item was announced publicly with the statutory citation and a brief description of the two topics to be discussed in closed session; the meeting record shows the board moved immediately into a closed session and the public portion of the meeting concluded.

No further public action on these personnel matters was reported in the open portion of the meeting.
