Multiple members of the South Fulton City Council were sworn in during the ceremony. Aaron B. Johnson (District 2) was called forward and administered the oath by Associate Judge Santana T. Flanagan; JC Sebastian (District 4) and Natasha Williams Brown (District 6) were sworn in by Chief Magistrate Michael Sheridan. Each oath included an affirmation to support the U.S. Constitution, the laws of Georgia and the City of South Fulton charter and code of ordinances.

The master of ceremonies recognized council members present earlier in the program and invited family members onto the stage for each swearing. Following the oaths, the MC congratulated the newly sworn members and invited applause. The oaths also included standard residency and conflict-of-interest language required by Georgia law and the city charter as recited during the ceremony.

No formal motions or council votes were recorded as part of the swearing-in; the ceremony was procedural and ceremonial, concluding with congratulatory remarks and a transition to the mayoral installation.
