The Olentangy board approved multiple financial consent items including ACFR/PAFR submissions and the FY26 budget documents. The board also approved contracts for an owner's representative, testing services, and a temporary easement with Delaware County (compensation a little over $2,500) to facilitate roadway widening near Berlin High School.
The Olentangy Local School District board approved several finance and business items at its Jan. 8 meeting, including the district’s submitted Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR), the FY26 revised appropriations, the FY27 tax budget and a comprehensive FY26 budget document. The treasurer said both the ACFR and PAFR were submitted by Dec. 31 and that the district is seeking award recognition for its reporting and budgeting.
The board approved a consent slate of treasurer items and separately approved the superintendent’s consent slate of personnel and business/facilities items. On construction matters, business and facilities staff presented three related approvals: a professional services agreement (and amendment) with Construction Analysis LLC to provide owner-representative services for upcoming projects; an award of professional construction testing and inspection services to PSI for Elementary 18 and High School 5; and a temporary easement agreement granting Delaware County limited access to district property at Berlin High School to accommodate a roadway widening project. The easement compensation was described as "a little over $2,500." Staff explained the temporary access will allow county crews to work across multiple phases along Berlin Station Road and that the easement period covers up to 24 months to accommodate the full project schedule.
Board members approved the consent packages and the construction-related items by roll-call votes, with no items pulled for separate discussion. The superintendent noted that with construction activity following the district’s recent bond passage, the board will see additional construction-related approvals in coming meetings, including guaranteed maximum price (GMP) items and awards.
