The Dyersburg City Council on Jan. 5, 2026 approved the minutes from its Dec. 15, 2025 meeting and granted a beer permit for 64 Vapor following a brief presentation and a public hearing with no speakers.
The presiding official introduced approval of the Dec. 15 minutes. Council member Joey moved to approve and Rick seconded; the council voted "aye," and the motion carried, approving the minutes.
Under new business the council considered a beer permit application for "64 Vapors Shop," originally listed in the packet with a corrected line distinguishing off-premises versus on-premises consumption. The presiding official said the chief had reviewed the application, saw "nothing precluding" approval and recommended granting the permit. Council member Joey moved to approve the permit; Ricky seconded. The item was opened as a public hearing; no one spoke. The council voted "aye" and approved the beer permit.
The presiding official noted that a corrected handout addressing the off-premises classification was provided to council members during the meeting. No additional conditions or restrictions were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The council did not record roll-call vote tallies in the transcript; actions were announced by voice vote.
