The Oak Creek Common Council on Jan. 20 approved a series of procurement requests and a vendor summary report.
Police Department: Chief Dave Stecker requested authorization to purchase multiple police vehicles and upfitting equipment from Carl Automotive Group for $304,700, explaining the city must secure builder allocations and that earlier COVID-era cancellations made certain vendors preferable. "The sooner that we can get that, the sooner we get those vehicles built," Stecker said; the council approved the purchase by roll call.
Public works: Matt Trebatoski, director of public works, recommended buying a CASE TV450B compact track loader from Miller Bradford Reesburg under Sourcewell pricing for $113,419.35 to replace an aging unit that limits payloads and attachments. He also recommended purchasing a 2026 International plow truck with pre-wet equipment from Lakeside International LLC for $265,145 to replace truck No. 30 (a 1994 International). Trebatoski said the plow truck cost is about $145 over budget and cautioned future emission standards may raise prices; both purchases were approved by roll call.
Finance: The council approved the vendor summary report dated Dec. 29, 2025 in the amount of $594,168.22 after review. No substantive changes to budget policy were proposed at the meeting.
Votes and approvals were taken by roll call on each item and passed without recorded opposition in the meeting transcript.
