Wichita County facilities staff reported on major maintenance projects during the Jan. 9 meeting.

Staff said roof repairs are pending and expected to be completed in the spring; the IT/network closet project approved by the court is awaiting Cornerstone to finish installation. An exit gate's wiring remains to be scheduled, and an RTU unit that has heating issues is being worked on. Facilities staff reported completing 2,601 work orders in the jail during the previous year and said temperature readings in parts of the facility held at about 56 degrees during recent cold weather.

Commissioners asked about timing and vendor follow-up; staff said they were reaching back out to the original contractors and would report progress as work continues.
