The York County Planning Commission convened Jan. 12, 2026, approved the meeting agenda and corrected minutes, elected leadership for 2026 and reviewed two rezoning cases.

The presiding speaker opened the meeting and asked for changes to the published agenda; none were offered. The presiding speaker moved to approve the agenda and Unidentified Speaker 2 seconded; the motion carried. Commissioners noted a few name errors in last month's minutes (one commissioner flagged spell-check changes to a speaker's first name) and asked staff to correct them; the minutes were then approved after a motion and second.

For leadership, Unidentified Speaker 3 nominated "Miss Kate" for chair and Unidentified Speaker 2 seconded; the commission approved the nomination. For vice chair, Unidentified Speaker 2 moved to nominate "Mike," the nomination was seconded and approved.

The commission then addressed two rezoning cases (Case 25-54 and Case 25-56) described in separate items. With no further business recorded, Unidentified Speaker 6 moved to adjourn and the meeting concluded.
