The Lawrenceburg Redevelopment Commission met on Jan. 12 and completed a series of routine governance and land-use actions, including officer elections and a dedication plat approval.

Elections: The commission elected Brian Johnson as president, Lenny Bridal as vice president and Kevin Schafer as secretary for 2026. Commissioners put the three officers up for a combined motion and approved them by voice vote.

Maple Street dedication plat: Staff presented a dedication plat for the Maple Street/Center Street properties to refine parcel edges and create room for a cul-de-sac and an expanded Center Street sidewalk that will be ADA-compliant when constructed. The commission voted to approve moving forward with the dedication plat; staff noted the commission will retain an alleyway that was part of the original parcel configuration.

Other business: Commissioners discussed 236 East High, a small lot that has had price reductions and limited interest; the commission decided to retain the property and take no action at this meeting.
