The board moved and seconded approval; roll-call votes were recorded as "Yes" by Eric Graff, George Koros, David Enregenberg, David Jarazewski and Robert Volkman.
Attorney Christian Bartholomew told the board the merit board is preparing a certified eligible list (the transcript records 15 names on that list) and that, per his legal assessment, appointment authority for those merit-board candidates resides with the merit board. The fire department anticipates recommending two hires from the certified list at a subsequent meeting.
