Board hears request to pre-purchase tickets for IB seniors to see Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman

Administrators requested board approval to plan an instructional field trip for IB English 12 students to attend a Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman, which the presenter said will star Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf and is a board-approved IB text. The Bay Shore Arts Education Fund has agreed to cover the entire cost of student tickets; the only anticipated expense to the district would be transportation (about $11 per student for a round-trip train ticket).
