At the Jan. 12 meeting the Clermont County Board of Commissioners voted on several non‑ceremonial items and approved the following measures.
LEPC grant application: The board authorized the EMA director to submit a 2026–2027 Chemical Emergency Planning and Community Right‑to‑Know grant application to the Ohio State Emergency Response Commission for an estimated $30,830 with no local match. The grant supports the local emergency planning committee's planning, training and exercise obligations.
Jail health services contract renewal: The board approved the third renewal and fourth amendment to the inmate health services agreement with Southern Health Partners, Inc., for the Clermont County Jail for an additional one‑year term (Feb. 1, 2026–Jan. 31, 2027) at an estimated cost of $1,503,266.88; all other contract terms remain in effect.
O'Bannon Trunk Sewer Relocation: The Water Resources Department recommended acceptance of KT Holding Construction LLC's O'Bannon Trunk Sewer Relocation (project 6402‑60213) as complete as of Oct. 21, 2025, and requested approval of payment No. 3 ($4,513) and release of retainage ($13,067.20 plus accrued interest). Commissioners approved the acceptance and payment.
Consent agenda and routine approvals: The board approved the consent agenda and several routine motions by roll call, with Commissioners Painter, Corcoran and Bachelor recorded as voting yes on the items presented.
Executive session: The board entered executive session under Ohio Rev. Code §121.22(G)(8) to discuss confidential economic development negotiations; the board returned without taking action.
