The Wayne County Commission voted to approve a package of six immediate-consideration items during its first meeting of the year, authorizing contracts and amendments across public works, parks and senior services.
The board approved a three-year professional-services contract with RMS Energy LLC not to exceed $689,137.50 for electrical troubleshooting, repairs, testing and maintenance at several pump stations, combined-sewer retention basins and the Rouge Valley lift station. Elizabeth Barrera, assistant division director for DPS Environmental Services, said the systems are old and the firm was selected through an RFQ as the most qualified. "This company was the one that won the bid," Barrera said.
