The Hamilton County Drainage Board on Jan. 12, 2026, reorganized its leadership and approved a series of personnel and administrative appointments.
At the start of the meeting Board Member 1 called the meeting to order and confirmed a quorum. The board approved the minutes of its Dec. 18, 2025 meeting and separately approved the executive session memorandum from Dec. 18, 2025 after a motion and second.
Board Member 3 moved to appoint Mark Herbrandt as president; the motion was seconded and approved. Board Member 1 moved to appoint Steve Dillinger as vice president; that motion was seconded and approved.
The board appointed legal counsel and administrative officers. Board Member 2 moved to appoint David Boyer as the board's primary attorney with Mike Howard as assistant; the motion passed. Board Member 1 moved to appoint Margaret Hobbs as secretary; that motion also passed.
The board approved recommended alternate members (George Kake Suluf and Paul Baird), designated a surveyor for claims, and named the board's representative to the Big Cicero Regional Drainage Board (Mark Herbrandt). Gary Duncan was appointed to represent the board on the White River Alliance and as the board's representative to the Citizens Energy Group Service Advisory Board. All of these motions were moved, seconded and approved by recorded 'Aye' votes.
Unidentified staff and board members noted the next meeting will be Jan. 26, 2026, at 9 a.m. The meeting adjourned after routine business.
