The Hamilton County Regional Utility District voted on several routine items and approved a new task order with Wessler Engineering at its Jan. 12 meeting.
The board approved the executive session memorandum for Jan. 12, 2026, the Dec. 8, 2025 meeting minutes and the claims listed in the meeting packet by voice vote. Unidentified Speaker 3 moved to reappoint the current slate of officers; Unidentified Speaker 1 seconded and the motion carried.
Wessler Engineering's Katie Castle Jackson told the board that "everything's going pretty well," reporting that punch-list work is nearly complete and that Lift Station 6, near Bridal Farm Equipment, is expected to start in about a month pending delivery of electrical equipment. She said the contractor has submitted work for substantial completion.
Jackson said Wessler submitted 30% design documents for the Cicero extension the previous Friday and proposed scheduling a review meeting to proceed. She also described a task order that covers plan review, resident project representative services and construction engineering so the firm can track reviews and invoice as developments move forward. "If the review or the development moves forward into construction, if we have written approval, we can also provide construction services to review submittals on behalf of the district," she said.
Following the presentation, Unidentified Speaker 3 recommended approval of the task order; a motion and second were made, members voted 'aye' and the board approved the task order for plan review, RPR and construction engineering services.
The attorney reported they are working with Wessler and Chris Junock to finalize a Skylake development agreement and expect to present that at the next meeting. There were no public comments. The board set its next meeting for Feb. 9, 2026, and adjourned.
