Lee County Public Safety Committee members were briefed on the county's ongoing data-conversion project with Tyler Technologies. Amy, a committee staff member, said her office "started training last week" and that training "goes through the end of this week," with a courthouse kickoff planned for Jan. 21 when "some representatives from Tyler will be coming to the courthouse."
The update explained the migration is already in place for some departments. Stacy, reporting for probation and court services, said the department "is fully on Tyler" and that "starting December 1, that was our new computer system to begin utilizing from here forward." She said staff spent about a week and a half in November training and that they entered basic case information into the new system.
Officials said invoices for the work have begun arriving and that a few external connections and collaborations with other entities remain to be completed before the package is fully integrated. "We're still waiting for a couple of connections and collaborations with other entities to be able to make our package complete," Stacy said.
Committee members raised no substantive objections in the session and thanked staff for the update. The next concrete milestone disclosed in the meeting is the courthouse kickoff with Tyler representatives, scheduled for Jan. 21; staff will continue training until the county completes the system connections.
