The Village of Glendale approved two financial ordinances during its January meeting: an appropriation to allow use of a late donation for Rogan Park repairs and an ordinance directing transfers of interest earnings to designated funds.
Finance Director Denise explained that the Rogan Park Fund received a late-December donation and Ordinance 2026-03 amends the 2026 appropriations to fully appropriate the donation for roof repairs to the park gazebo; Denise noted the donation will not fully fund the project but allows immediate spending to repair the roof.
Council also adopted Ordinance 2026-05 directing the finance director to allocate interest earned across funds using a proportional ratio. Denise said the village will request advances from the county auditor per the budget calendar, and noted an IPA audit will cover 2024 and 2025 financial statements.
Both motions to dispense with three readings were approved and ordinances passed on recorded votes; council did not change the underlying budget numbers at the meeting beyond the specified appropriations and transfers.
