Miami Beach design review board elects new chair and vice chair

The Miami Beach Design Review Board elected Adam as chair and Miss Porter as vice chair during its Jan. 8, 2026 meeting, after staff noted two long-serving members’ terms had expired.
Board members moved and seconded nominations at the start of the session. The board confirmed the two officers by voice vote; the board clerk announced a 7-of-7 membership present for the meeting. Members and staff thanked outgoing members for their service during brief remarks following the vote.
The chair and vice chair selections are procedural: staff and board members said the change will not affect the board’s schedule or the eligibility of items already on the calendar. The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 12, 2026.
