Fair Oaks Ranch seeks resident input on five-year strategic action plan; open houses set for Jan. 20

An unidentified city staff member announced that the City of Fair Oaks Ranch will update its strategic action plan this year and invited residents to provide input at two public sessions and online.

The staff member said the strategic action plan is reviewed annually and projects the city’s requirements over the next five years. "A strategic action plan is a planning tool that's reviewed each year that predicts requirements needed for the city over the next 5 years," the speaker said, adding the plan focuses on five priorities intended to preserve what makes Fair Oaks Ranch unique.

City leaders and staff set an open house for January 20 in the Police Training Room with two sessions — 1 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. "The first opportunity will be an open house that will be conducted at the Police Training Room on January 20," the speaker said. Residents who cannot attend are asked to look for city notices with links to provide comments online.

The speaker emphasized the role of resident feedback in shaping the update: "We believe it's very important to get resident input as we update the strategic action plans," and asked residents to submit ideas for maintaining the city's character in future planning.
