Commissioners moved and seconded to grant permission to fill the vacancy in the assessor’s office; the motion passed by voice vote. The commission recorded no change to hiring policy beyond the existing requirement that departments request vacancy approvals from the commission.
The action is intended to reduce customer wait times and ensure continued coverage of real‑estate duties during peak months (October through May).
