Town staff circulated a draft letter of support for Hartford Transit’s grant applications and asked the commissioners whether they would like the town to send a supporting letter to aid grant efforts for operational and capital needs. Staff noted two public hearings on transit projects (Jan. 28 and Jan. 29) and recommended placing the draft letter on the Jan. 20 agenda so the board could vote formally.

The chair and staff agreed to place the item on the Jan. 20 agenda and allow commissioners time to review and propose edits; staff said the letter is boilerplate and can be edited by commissioners before a vote.
