At its first meeting of 2026 the St. Louis Park City Council approved its consent agenda by voice vote, carrying several routine and staff-recommended items.
Councilmember Tim Brausen specifically highlighted two items on the consent agenda: a professional services agreement to support the city’s pavement management program for 2028 (planning that begins well in advance of construction years) and a resolution (item 5j) to approve the 2026–2028 labor agreement with International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) Local 993. Brausen thanked staff for their planning work and for negotiating an equitable agreement with the firefighters.
The meeting record shows the consent agenda and minutes were approved with voice votes. The council did not open those consent items for separate discussion at the meeting; staff will proceed with implementing the professional services agreement and the approved labor contract according to existing administrative processes.
