High-school robotics team asks council for funding and technical help

The students said earlier grant support has decreased and registration and operating costs are projected to rise. Council members praised the outreach and suggested the students pursue corporate sponsorships; the students reported they have reached out to local employers including MLI, Spoke, Hamill Electric and the local public utility district.
The council did not take immediate funding action during the meeting but encouraged staff and members to explore possible support and to share contact info for potential corporate partners. Next procedural steps were not specified.
