Martinsville council elects Phil Deckard president pro tem and approves board appointments

Deckard was nominated from the floor, seconded and elected by the council after nominations were closed. The presiding officer announced the vote as carried by voice.
The council also approved appointments for the year: Anne Miller to the planning commission; John Badger to serve as the council's representative on the redevelopment commission; Eric Henderson to continue as the council appointee to the police mayor board; and Ben Mahoney to represent the council on the Morgan County Economic Development Corporation board of directors. A motion to approve the full slate was made, seconded and carried by voice vote.
