At its administrative meeting, the Humphreys County Board of Commissioners voted to forward several routine resolutions and administrative items to the full commission, including grant acceptances, budget reallocations, appointments and routine administrative actions.
Items approved and forwarded included: a $10,000 Tennessee Arts Commission grant to fund a 20-by-5-foot hospital mural ($7,000 for the artist, $3,000 for supplies); a capital projects transfer of community development block grant funds to the city of Wyverness to pay contractors; a $27,500 general-fund reallocation to cover legal fees in an arbitration settlement related to a former finance director's termination (County Executive Pergriba said the county denies liability and accepted a 50% insurance contribution to avoid litigation costs); a $2,600 reallocation to pay election workers; agricultural extension committee appointments for Commissioner Kathy McClanahan (first term) and Shannon Proctor (second term) through Jan. 31, 2028; the highway department's road list; and renewals of multiple notaries.
Committee members moved each item by recorded motion and cast committee votes to send the measures to the full commission for final action.
