District construction staff delivered the Jan. 2026 update on projects funded by the May 2023 bond, reporting steady progress on multiple sites.
Mr. Mott said the track surface at Coleman is scheduled for pouring the week of Jan. 19, with painting and final fencing to follow so the facility can be used. At Waukesha Creek High School, slabs and second-floor pours are complete in many areas; crews are beginning interior trades such as electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Large concrete locker-room pours (about 25,000 square feet each) are scheduled in the coming weeks. Roofing work for the main building is expected to start the second week of February to allow interior work to proceed.
Mr. Mott also said the Ag Barn drawings are complete and awaiting the architect’s seal before the district issues an RFP. He estimated that, by the end of summer, about 78% of the original bond scope will be complete, and the work tied to Proposition C is under budget so far. Board members asked whether locker removals and replacement with classroom cubbies involved hallway versus classroom lockers; Mr. Mott clarified the three affected campuses have classroom lockers not used daily and the district plans to replace them with cubbies.
