Council approves routine consent items, schedules Southmore Drive discussion

Fountain City — At its Jan. 13 meeting the Fountain City Council approved routine consent agenda items A, B and C, which cover standard annual administrative postings and scheduling matters, by a unanimous recorded vote of the six members present.
Council member Herzberg moved to approve the consent agenda; Mayor Pro Tem Estes seconded. The clerk announced 6 yes and the motion carried.
Later in the meeting Council member Rick requested that the council discuss opening Southmore Drive at the next regular meeting at 6 p.m. Council agreed to place the matter on the next agenda and staff was asked to notify participants who attended prior meetings, using the available email list. No decision on opening Southmore Drive was made at the Jan. 13 meeting.
