District gives virtual tour of CTE building; welding lab touted as 'huge' and construction on schedule for March roof milestone

"This is the welding lab. This is huge. It's over 3,000 square feet just in that lab," a district presenter said while showing images of lab spaces.
Finance staff reported $8,350,442.91 in expenditures to date on the CTE project, representing 21.25% of the project's budget, and listed 28.87% completion in the packet. The packet also included change order documentation and two payments to contractor RRMM during the period under review.
The presenter said the district expects the building exterior to be under roof by March, after which nonbearing interior walls will be installed and finish work will continue. Board members asked clarifying questions about schedule and budget; staff described the remaining work as progressing on schedule.
No formal vote accompanied the update; staff presented the information and asked the board to note the included change order documentation in the meeting packet.
