The board approved a special exception to allow a 45-by-100-foot metal storage building for business equipment at a commercial property on Highway 321.
Applicant Chris Bartholomew (Speaker 9) said the building was "just looking to put a, a metal building just to keep equipment, trailers in" and that it would not house an office. Staff recommended the board limit approvals to storage use and to require access off Highway 321; the applicant confirmed he had already prepared for driveway installation. After discussion, a motion to approve the special exception for storage use was moved and seconded and the board voted in favor.
The board noted that future development or an office relocation could prompt additional permitting or rezone actions, but the exception as granted was explicitly for storage and included any caveats discussed at the meeting.
