The Tuscaloosa City Finance Committee approved Budget Revision No. 4 on Dec. 16, reallocating approximately $240,000 to a tennis center project from closed or closing items in the 2022 A bond fund.
Finance staff member Susan Standridge told the committee the revision draws $16,891 from the completed Snow Hinton Park project and $24,009.41 from Springbrook Park, with about $1,500 in contingency and the remaining balance shifted from funds allocated to the Benjamin Barnes YMCA project. Standridge said the detailed breakdown is included in the meeting packet.
A member asked for clarification about amounts and the committee referenced prior review of a larger $1.399 million project at the projects committee meeting. After a brief exchange and a motion, the committee approved the budget revision by voice vote.
Staff did not list further conditions or required follow-up reporting during the meeting. The change is part of bond fund adjustments and does not represent a new outside appropriation.
