County staff advised that any grant awards tied to the project would likely require a local match of 20 percent unless fully funded.
County officials described the funding opportunity as "fairly large" and praised the county department that pursues grants. No supervisor spoke in opposition during the floor discussion. The board directed staff to finalize the paperwork and return with any grant-specific documents that would require further board action.
The next procedural step is for staff to complete the formal resolution packet and execute any required assurances tied to grant applications; supervisors said they would sign the resolution following clerical review.
