Warrick County APC elects officers, adopts rules and sets 2026 calendar

The Warrick County Area Planning Commission opened its Jan. 12 meeting by electing its 2026 leadership, appointing counsel and approving routine administrative items.

The commission accepted nominations and appointed its president by acclamation and selected Jeff Willis as vice chairman. Members then moved and approved a motion to appoint Mr. Dahl as the commission’s attorney for 2026–2027 and adopted the rules and regulations with no changes from the prior year. The APC also confirmed committee assignments, reappointed a county representative and named members to the plat review committee.

Staff distributed the proposed 2026 meeting calendar and the commission approved the dates and locations (Mondays at 6 p.m. in the same meeting room). The APC voted to adopt the fee schedule unchanged from the previous year and accepted the December meeting minutes.

The meeting then moved to routine business, including a staff report on building permits.

The APC’s action items are administrative and set the body’s operating structure for 2026; procedural matters related to future hearings will return to the commission according to the schedule adopted at the meeting.
