The Town Selectors awarded the contract to print the 650-copy annual town report to Evans Printing of River Road, Bonham Hampshire, for a total price of $3,442.85.
At the bidding review, staff presented two proposals. Board members raised concerns that one bid from Indiana Printing Publishing Company lacked a clear final price, layout cost and lead-time details. Board members said Evans has provided quality work for the town in the past and that the bid from Evans included the required specifications.
Selector Griffin moved to accept Evans Printing's bid; the motion was seconded by a colleague and approved on a voice vote. A board member noted the town's longtime layout contractor had retired and that Evans would "pick up the ball and run with it" for the layout and printing.
The sealed-bid solicitation had required submissions by 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, and public opening at the Selectors' regular meeting on Jan. 6 (the dates were read into the record). The awarded price for 650 reports is $3,442.85 as stated in the bid accepted by the board.
