The Grant County Redevelopment Commission on Jan. 5 retained its existing officers for 2026, approved its Dec. 1, 2025 meeting minutes and received an update on a pending declaratory resolution.
During the election of officers the chair opened nominations and Mister Lemming moved to keep the same officers as the previous year; the chair announced that he would remain president and that Victoria Herring would continue as vice president. The motion to retain the prior officers was seconded and carried by voice vote.
The commission then approved the Dec. 1, 2025 meeting minutes after a motion and second, again by voice vote. Staff thanked commissioners for completing the scoring work on the 400 South Miller Avenue RFP and briefed them on next steps.
On item 4, staff reported that Dustin Meeks of Barnes and Burford has been working on the timetable for declaratory resolution 00120250022025 and said the matter is progressing toward consideration by the area plan this month. The chair opened the floor for public comment but recorded no speakers, and the commission set its next regular meeting for Feb. 2, 2026. A motion to adjourn carried by voice vote.
The meeting convened at 12:01 p.m. and was adjourned after the Feb. 2 scheduling and no public comments.
