The Health, Housing and Human Services committee voted to report a resolution to accept a five-year, $401,000 award from the New York State Department of Health to support services for children and youth with special health care needs. Keith Brown described the program as a subcontract with SCAP to provide supportive wraparound services and asked for permission to accept the multi-year contract. "This is the second award we have for what is a fairly new program for us," Brown said, and noted the funding will cover the multi-year term.
Legislators voted in favor on a voice vote; the item was carried and will proceed to the full legislature for final acceptance and contracting by county staff.
