The Alpharetta City Council unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding with Home by Dark on Jan. 12 to continue the city’s free six‑show summer concert series at Brook Street Park for 2026.
Parks Director Gretna Rogers said the MOU repeats the agreement the city has held with Home by Dark since 2018. The proposed 2026 dates are April 25, May 5, June 13, July 11, Aug. 8 and Sept. 12. Rogers said the contract arrangement is $10,000 per concert, with the convention and visitors bureau (CVB) sponsoring 30% of that cost; staff described the city’s portion as a budgeted item. During council discussion a numerical transcription error appeared in the transcript (stated as "$3,030,000" then questioned and corrected in discussion to $33,000); the record of the motion and the council’s vote indicate a standard budgeted subsidy consistent with prior years.
Councilmembers praised the long‑running partnership and the community value of downtown concerts. The council authorized the mayor to execute the MOU and recorded the approval as unanimous.
