The Alpharetta City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Chris Godfrey as an alternate member of the Planning Commission during its Jan. 12 meeting. The mayor announced the nomination and the appointment was confirmed by roll/hand vote.
Judge Will administered the oath of office to Patrick Corkel and Jacqueline Chen, who each repeated the statutory oath to uphold the constitutions and laws of Georgia and the United States and to faithfully perform the duties of board members. The swearing-in was presented as the city’s regular procedural step for incoming board and commission members.
The council took the action during the opening portion of the meeting; no public comment was received on these items. The council proceeded to its regular agenda after the oath and the appointment.
