The Franklin City Economic Development Commission conducted routine business Thursday, approving minutes, retaining current officers and voting to adopt revisions to the EDC fee grant guidelines.

Early in the meeting commissioners approved the minutes from the Dec. 9, 2025 meeting by voice vote. An unidentified commissioner moved to retain the existing officers — naming Josh as president, Sean as vice president and the mover as secretary — and the motion passed on voice vote with no recorded opposition.

Staff presented proposed changes to the EDC fee grant guidelines. The revision removes a standing prohibition on repeat or recurring grants and reduces the scoring weight for "new and innovative projects not previously funded by the EDC" from 10 points to 5 points to lower the barrier for repeat applicants. Commissioners voted to approve the revised guidelines by voice vote.

Commissioners also heard that RDC (Regional Development Council) viewed the recommended software product positively; a resolution to approve the software will be considered by RDC next Tuesday. Staff indicated they will coordinate implementation details with Adam and Krista and that outreach emails will go out to prospective applicants in February.

No public comment was recorded on these agenda items. The commission adjourned after a final voice vote and an informal closing remark.
