Summary
The commission approved a 16‑sq.‑ft. wall sign for North American Composites and a multi‑sign package for Flamingo Marine in the Holy Hill Gateway District; staff found both proposals compliant with the Germantown sign code.
The Germantown Plan Commission approved two sign applications Jan. 12: a 16‑square‑foot non‑illuminated wall sign for North American Composites and a multi‑element sign package for Flamingo Marine, located in the Holy Hill Gateway District.
Jordan Rausch presented both applications. For North American Composites, Jordan said the single wall sign located on the western facade meets the square‑footage and placement limits in the sign code. "The sign does comply with the Germantown sign code, and so staff's recommendation is to approve the sign," Jordan said.
For Flamingo Marine, Jordan described two wall signs, a monument sign insert and small directional signs for the site at W210 N12995 Gateway Crossing. Jordan said the proposed signage fits within the Gateway Crossing PDD standards and staff recommended approval.
Each proposal was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote with no recorded opposition. The Flamingo Marine sign package was presented as part of development in the Holy Hill Gateway District; commissioners noted the package's compliance with the sign code and the limited scope of exterior changes.
