The Select Board heard Jan. 6 from Eric (Speaker 8) that a working draft of a proposed ordinance governing the Lehi (LAD) Recreation Center is in preparation and has been circulated to a working group and board members for comment.
Eric said he has incorporated feedback from the town attorney, identified in the meeting as Paul Solserum, and planned to share an updated draft with the full LAD board after its meeting on the 12th. He told the Select Board he had not yet run the draft by the entire LAD board but expects to do so following that meeting.
Board members noted the possibility that the appointments policy might need amendment depending on how the recreation center committee or board is classified by ordinance. Eric said the town’s current policy lists three governing boards and does not include a fourth; if the ordinance creates a new governing board the policy might need to be updated.
No formal action was taken on the draft ordinance at this meeting; Eric said he would provide the revised draft to the board before the next meeting.
