Staff reported winter patching and gravel work across several roads, and supervisors emphasized the need to avoid partial projects that leave roads incomplete.
The action adds the Hope Road continuation to the prioritized project pipeline and directs staff to prepare the formal resolution language and next steps for inclusion in VDOT scheduling and the county's construction program. The board did not set a construction date; staff said design and preliminary engineering will continue and the item will move through VDOT coordination.
The vote follows earlier discussion of broader road priorities and a separate VDOT high‑risk road scoring exercise, which the board asked staff to finalize and resubmit to VDOT for potential funding and scheduling.
