During the consent-agenda discussion, a commissioner noted the mayor of Downey contacted the county regarding an alcohol license for a bar that had been approved; the city may refund the fee after the applicant retracted the application. County staff said the license had been approved and that a refund would require the bar to appear on the county agenda and seek relief; staff also noted the county had criminal cases related to the establishment.

The commission approved the consent agenda by voice vote and adjourned.
