Temple ISD honors educator, construction team and board service

Trustees recognized Miss Jane Carlisle as Rotary educator of the month, American Constructors and project partners for an excellence in construction award for Temple High School's Athletic Performance Complex, and celebrated School Board Recognition Month.
Temple ISD used part of its Jan. 12 meeting to recognize contributions from staff, contractors and trustees.
The Rotary Club of Temple and district leaders recognized Miss Jane Carlisle, a second-grade teacher at Ray Allen Elementary School with 22 years of service, as the district’s Rotary educator of the month. "Miss Carlisle is building community every day, and it shows," a presenter said, and board members praised her long-term commitment to students.
District staff also announced that American Constructors and project partners received a 2025 Central Texas Associated Builders and Contractors excellence-in-construction merit award for the Temple High School Athletic Performance Complex. Presenters described the project as a 40,350-square-foot facility that began construction in 2023 and was completed in March 2025, and thanked architect PBK, Ryan Perez (director of facilities and construction), Kent Boyd (assistant superintendent of facilities and operations) and athletic director Steve Prentice.
Finally, the district recognized January as School Board Recognition Month, noting regional honors and the board’s role in bond implementation and instructional initiatives across campuses. Trustees received tokens of appreciation from campuses and district leadership.
