The Morgan County Redevelopment Commission completed routine reorganization and administrative business during its meeting, reelecting leadership, accepting minutes and financial statements, approving vendor claims and naming an official signatory for the year.
During reorganization, a motion by Kim Meredith to keep Carol Snyder as president and Joyce Prinkle as vice president was seconded and approved by voice vote. The commission also moved to nominate Jeff as secretary; members discussed past absence by Jeff during a prior reorganization meeting but carried the nomination without recorded objection.
The commission approved the minutes from its Dec. 9 meeting after a motion by Roy (Royce) Sprinkle and a second. The treasurer presented a detailed financial report showing balances and activity for several TIF and state revolving funds, including year-end figures and interest; after presentation a motion to accept the financial report carried by voice vote.
Members approved claims that included $5,100 listed as Mann's Consulting with Barnes & Thornburg. Later in the meeting staff requested designation of Carol as the commission signatory for the year to streamline transactions; the motion was made, seconded and approved.
The meeting adjourned by voice vote; the commission set its next meeting for Feb. 11. No public comments were made during the public-comment period.
