"So at minimum, this would need to be laid over for 1 week," the council member said.
Other council members expressed agreement; one said, "I'm good with 1 week," and the chair acknowledged the timeline. The layover will allow the council to hear from interested parties in the committee setting and to decide a direction after receiving all stakeholder input.
Next steps: the committee will meet and hear from stakeholders; the item will return to the council for action after that review.
